TODAY!
Is square root day! 3-3-09 Cuz you know, the square root of 3 is nine? It only happens every once in a decade...how cool is it that it fell on a blogging day!

This Week!

1. Got my teefury shirt in the mail. It rocks the house. Especially when I wear it. Le Shirt.
2. Somebody found the world's only bubblegum pink bottle nosed dolphin. (I am not kidding! And I seriously want it for a pet. I mean, who doesn't want a tickle me pink dolphin? It's like Lisa Frank come to life!)Proof!
3. I passed a memory on this week. Some of my best moments as a kid were with my Papa Martz. He was my first and best babysitter I ever had. EVER. One thing he used to do (we did a lot of things) was take me to McDonalds and let me run stocking footed in the play area while he dutifully guarded my half eaten cheeseburger and fries with barbecue sauce. So today I took John Mark to McDonalds. And I guarded his cheeseburger. (He isn't a fan of eating fries with barbecue sauce. I can't understand why...)I even got him a vanilla ice cream cone like Papa used to do for me. Of course, my Mickey D Days were infinitely better. They still had all those unsafe swinging nets and ball cages. Now it's just plastic steps and tube slides. But that's ok. John Mark will never know.
4. I payed my first payment of 125 dollaroos to Lipscomb University. I guess if I'm gonna live there I have to pay. Did you know that all of the dorm halls have vending machines? It's like heaven in a hallway!
5. I found my green book of poems! It's actually called The Standard Book of British and American Verse, but the title is worn away so it's just the green book now. I thought that we had gotten rid of it when we moved to Brazil, but we didn't! And I'm reading through Keats, Poe, Dickinson, Tennyson, Shakespeare! Hurrah for scruffy old marked up dog earred green books of genius! I'm happily reunited.

Prayer Posts:
1. The President of Guinea Bissau was assassinated March 2nd.
GB is a young struggling country with huge drug export and import problems. The loss of their president is a blow. Lift up this nation to our King in our prayers...
A friend of ours, Dr. Lillian is a Brazilian missionary in GB as well. So prayers for her too would be awesome.
2. We should also pray for the families of the athletes that were lost on Florida's Gulf Coast in a fishing boat. Today at sundown the Coast Guard canceled all searches, which means the families are having to cope with both the loss of the men, as well as the loss of the hope they've had the past few days of retrieving the bodies.

Birthday Blog!
Avery Powell- My favorite 7 year old that turned 8 on Sunday had a birthday this week! Happy birthday girl!

I didn't know you were going to Lipscomb! What are you majoring in? I have a cousin who goes there, and she's a junior this year, I think. Glad to see your posting every Tuesday. :)
