Lotsa Stress = Lotsa Life

This week has been so weird. Weird in the weirdest way.
Sometime ago we found out that my dad gets all woozy like when he eats gluten. So now my mom has increased in her awesomeness by cooking for a family that includes a diabetic and a gluten free person. We've been eating a lot of veggies...
Starting Monday, my insulin pump malfunctioned and I went into DKA (which is a Diabetic Keto-Acidosis) and ended up getting incredibly sick!
And my Grandma broke her hip that day, too. Which is bad enough as it is...but now there is no one really qualified to take care of my grandpa since he has Alzheimer's.
Tuesday my Uncle was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. He just got home from the hospital.
Wednesday we learned that a certified case of the Swine Flu had been found in Williamson county. Yeah, that's close to us.
And we also learned that we might not get to go to Brazil for Via's graduation because the consulate just shut down any type of visa requests!

So! What does one do in these strange times?
You go to the store and buy interesting food like teryaki sauce, rice cakes, vitamin water and fudge bars.
Fold five loads of laundry consecutively.
You open your extensive pencil collection and start blending colors.
You write philosophical prose pieces about breaking rules.
You sit in a hammock and read ridiculous fantasy fiction novels.
You walk out to the garden twice a day to see how much the french beans and carrots have grown in the past 6 hours.
You use hand sanitizer.
Organize your clothes drawers and closet.
You eat a large bowl of peas.

In other words, stress can go to your head. Or it can't... Life is awful and hard and stressful. But I like it.

So sorry to hear that. :( Are you better now from the DKA (I hope)?

What I write that is not Blogged.
