Overall, I thought this book was quite good. Mara is a good strong character who has learned her lesson that you don't come to the attention of a Mage, except... this time she did. Oh well, she is on the way to a death duel anyway, how can it hurt to break one more rule? I was delighted to find out that breaking this rule may turn out to be a very good thing. There need to be more Mara tales so we can find out what happens next.
